I've been down town.

I wanted to go down town early today because I wanted to be back by 12:00 noon to see Andre Rieu on Sky Arts, so I got up at 7:00am! I set off at about 9:45am. I usually end up going at around 10:30am so I was earlier. It was pouring it down with rain! I wore my scarf, my boots, my coat with a hood and fur lining and my purple gloves, which I think are warmer than my grey gloves that my brother gave me. I went as fast as I could round Stowe Pool, which is no longer frozen over, and got into town for 10:00am. Then I went straight to the Oxfam shop with my charity donation that I sorted out yesterday. Next I went up the precinct and it was really dull which means the lights on the giant reindeer where really bright and beautiful. You could see it all the way from the bottom of the precinct. Unfortunately I hadn't taken my tablet with me so I couldn't take a picture. I went to The Entertainer toy shop to get some presents for my little nephews from my Mum. She wanted something that would keep them occupied intellectually! And she didn't want me to spend more than £20 each. So I got a couple of build a robot things, rocking robot I think they're called. I think you're supposed to build the robot before it collapses. Anyway I got 2 of those for £14.40 each. So I also got a couple of other things. Little monster things that you irritate! It says on it 'Grab them before they grab you!' They were £4 each. So that came to £36.80 altogether. I payed for those and braved the rain again. My gloves were sopping wet already. After that I went straight to Iceland (the shop not the country!) and got some paella for my Mum and 3 lots of sea bass for me. (They were £5 each or 3 for £10) Mum wanted me to get some chocolate liqueurs for my step-dad but I couldn't find any. Mum had seen some before. She should have got them when she saw them. I then got some Hunters Chicken and Lamb burgers. My Mum wanted me to get some sprouts but I couldn't get them either. After I'd payed I put my hood up again and set off for home as quickly as I could. I was glad I put my boots on because there were some really deep puddles! I got home at 11:00am! My Mum was quite surprised I was back so quickly. I told her all about my shopping trip and what I couldn't get and I gave her her change and her receipts. Then I put all the frozen stuff in the freezer, and showed her the things I'd got for the boys. I was rather disappointed I'd missed Sean the sheep! I got my soup at 11:30am and after I'd had my soup I had a little vegan yoghurt. We put Andre on at 12:00 noon and that is what we are watching now. I've got my ready meal curry for tonight. How is your day going so far? I hope you are all well. Have a great day.

@sharonelton That’s good you’re back home in the warmth. I’m just back from the crematorium and I’m waiting in a quiet, empty house for my wife and daughter to bring another daughter from the airport. All is calm, all is bright.

Thank you very much. I don't have to go out now till Christmas morning to the Christmas morning service at Church. Are both your daughters staying for Christmas then?

@sharonelton We’ll have our always-at-home daughter with us (she’s learning disabled) and our Edinburgh daughter on Christmas Day. Today (Christmas Eve) our two sons are here for brunch with their families and our Manchester daughter was here for a weekend at the start of December. I’m already looking forward to my Christmas doze.

Thank you very much. I try my best. Oh, that's very kind of you. I hope you like my videos. I've got some premiered now till the end of the year I think, or nearly. Except Christmas day and boxing day because I want to do videos on the day. In which case comments might not be there till the day after because I know what they're like. As soon as I put the comments on they disappear again!

Despite all the rain and cold there, you went ahead and did it. I am sure that the boys would love those gifts and good that they were within your mum's budget. Glad that you were back in time to catch up with your favourite show. It's second day of my vacation. I have done the bare minimum around the house. Wanted to lazy around and I am doing so

@sharonelton Happy to know that everything went well there. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. I am a Hindu and we don't have Christmas celebration. But since my daughters were toddlers, they started putting up a tree and gifts under the tree.. They would sit around it with their guitar and keyboard to sing carols. And younger one would bake cookies and cakes. This year the tree is missing and so are the carols around. My elder daughter has moved to college in another city far from here. She could not make it for Christmas. Younger one was caught up with exams. So, the tree was not put. And carols were not sung. But yes, she has baked some cookies on Christmas eve. And today we plan to go down in the apartment to enjoy the Christmas event. Gifts were not put under the tree but I gave Amazon cards to my daughters. They can buy something of their choice

@arunima25 Thank you very much. We had a great day. That sounds like a good time. Yes, Amazon gift cards are a good choice. I told my Mum if she couldn't think of anything to get me she could get me an Amazon gift card. My Mum has only just got the tree out of the cupboard! She is going to put it up on boxing day! But I don't know when she'll get it up because we're going to go to my brother's house for lunch. And when we.come back she'll be tired!

Thank you very much. Yes, I did brave the rain. I had to. The weather app said it would be raining till midday, and that's when Andre came on so I couldn't wait till then. So I wrapped up warm and did it! My gloves were sopping wet when I got home so I put them on my radiator to dry. They were dry by the time I went to bed last night. Yes, I made sure I stuck to Mums budget. I think i did good for the money. And Mum got £3.20 change from it aswell! I'm glad I was back in time to see Andre. It was a Christmas concert called Christmas Around The World and it had a choir of little Japanese kids on with their shrill little voices. Me and my Mum, we love them! I'm glad you've been having a lazy relaxing time. Have you got everything ready for Christmas?

Thank you very much. Well I didn't need to do much, just hand in the charity donations, go to the toy shop and then Iceland. I was quite sure I'd get back in time for Andre. Well, I did set out earlier aswell so that helped.
