First Post in a While

I posted before the new year but I guess someone from above took it down. Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone!!! I hope that everyone had a great time and that the year is starting pretty well. I have to say that it is starting pretty decent for us. Though I haven't started my job yet, I know that I will be soon. Until then I just keep working on crafts. Today, I made a few book marks and I'm working on a shirt. Trying something new for the shirt and we'll see if it works lol. I also want to do the epoxy dreamcatcher that my mom got me for Christmas. I can't wait to get to it. It should be great lol. Chris is working on wreaths like crazy. She's addicted to making them. She still does the pallet stuff but she likes the wreaths. My husband is liking his job and he should be getting a raise soon. He's been debating on making firefighting a career and I told him I'll support him no matter what. So we'll see what the new year brings. Chris and I started a 100 a day crunch challenge for St. Jude and so far we're two days down and ready to go for more. I'm loving it and she's so sore. It's for a good cause so I'm not complaining. What has everyone been up to? I've been gone for a while so surly someone has been up to something lol.

I'm glad your husband likes his job. Doing a challenge for St. Jude's is a very worthy effort. Sorry, nothing much going on here!!! I do a post every day about what little is going on in my life.

@JordanLader If we were to ever win the lottery, I would donate a portion to St. Jude and Shriner's Hospitals.

@LindaOHio I donate often but mostly through grocery stores. I want to do a monthly donation but that has to wait until I get my job.

I'm trying to remember to do the same lol. St Jude is one of the very few causes that I support. I find it hard to trust a lot of the charities but this one is one I back one hundred percent.

Welcome back, and happy new year! I stayed in the house during the “deep freeze” over the Christmas holiday. Today it’s in the high 60s and lots of rain so I’m staying home, too, because of the threat of severe weather and flash flooding.

We had to hand out meals during the freeze. Thankfully the worst was the day before we handed out meals but it was a good day.

My husband retired nearly a month now. And we're replacing our hot water heater, but if you really want to know about my day-to-day, I post at least once a day about it.

I'm retired. I don't have to be 'up to something' anymore.
