We have hot water. Turns out the emergency disconnect was faulty, and needed replacing. While I have yet to test the water for myself (might get a bath later in the evening) the hot side is warm to the touch, something George says didn't happen. We're happy about that. It was stressful, but well worth it, I think.

Oh yay for you. Hot water is always nice. I hope you enjoy your bath. I love to take baths. Do you put any bath salrs or anything in the water to help you relax?

We don't have hot water facility but big hotels they have one installed in taking a shower. If you want a cold water, you can turn on the cold switch or if warm or hot, there's a switch too.

@kaylachan I know the feeling since when my relatives and myself would visit my relatives in the farms in the interior of Panama during the 1970s, having water heaters did not exist at that time. Showers were mostly lukewarm.

Congratulations on getting your water working. I was without hot water for about a week when my water heater had to be replaced. Cold showers in the winter isn’t pleasant.

Us, too. We survived not having it for a day, but that's because we didn't need it.

Happy to hear you have hot water again. You don't realize how much you need it until you have to go without it!

Luckily for us, it was only a day. And, with my husband retired he couldn't be happier. He's only taken one 'cold' shower, and realized the water didn't heat up. So.... that's what started our replacement journey.
