Coffee, more coffee

It seems I can not get enough coffee today. I made a pot this morning and have drank it all. I made a second pot this afternoon and now I am half way through it. I am noticing a pattern. I will have a night where I have a hard time sleeping and the next day, I drink a lot of coffee. Last night, I had a terrible time trying to sleep. My brain would not shut off but my body was tired. I did not have a lot of coffee yesterday. And today is now a 2-pot day. I will sleep really good tonight though. I know it does not make sense to have this much caffeine and then end up sleeping well. But that is how it seems to work for me. Anyone else experience things like this with food or drinks? How does it affect you?

Hi Lil Bit I hope the coffee does the trick for you. I can get up at 3AM, drink a mug of tea and go back to sleep.

I'm having that issue today, and I just can't get warm. I've switched to decaf at this point of the day, otherwise I'll never sleep tonight.

Hot coffee or hot tea is wonderful on a cold day.

I do not drink anything with caffeine in it. That is good that you can sleep.

I am a certified (or certifiable! ) coffee-holic. If I don't have it, I still have trouble sleeping. I've been drinking coffee somewhat in excess for years and years, and it hasn't killed me. My kids joke that mom bleeds coffee, they could be right!
