True happiness

Quote on true happiness

Some claim that money may give them the happiness which they're longing for. Others say that it's their family. Car is for Juan de la Cruz. Education is for Maria. Happiness means differently to different people. But Marcel Schwantes has pointed out 5 words that anyone could be inspired to have a true happiness. That is: "Do the things you love." Do you agree with her? What's your opinion?

You're right. A person who is unshackled is happy. But those who idolize money isn't.

I agree with that saying, but not at the benefit of making others happy, too.

It says contributor to true happiness. It may or may not for it's very subjective.

But if you want to be more happy than that, "love the things that you do", then you will be happy doing all things. Happiness is not something acquired from our doing anything outwardly; it is more us reaching into our heart, and bringing the love there into whatever we are doing, and then we find amazingly that we are happy in the doing, whatever it might be.

You said it right. And what you love to do gives your the happiness inwardly. Doing things you love in the name of Jesus is a pure happiness.

I believe that true happiness comes from within not from anything exterior I believe when you find what you are passionate about and you are happy with yourself and this is where you find truth fulfillment I am a believer in Jesus Christ and I believe that true happiness is found in Jesus and not in things everyone is looking for happiness in life but the only real and true happiness to me is found in Jesus Christ.

I absolutely agree with that we could find true happiness in Jesus. He said if we are heavy laden we cone to Him for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

My family definitely makes me the happiest. However if I didn’t have to worry about money that would be a lot less stress.

That is very true. We all are driven towards something different which brings us happiness.

Doing the things you love will make you happy, but what happens when what you love doesn't attract you anymore?

That's another story. But the point here is there's happiness in what you love to do. And it's not permanent I think.

That's very true. Some people work their whole lives and are not happy with what they are doing.

I agree with the sentiment of the statement, "Do the things you love." And I also agree money cannot and will not buy happiness. BUT at the same time, how does one do the things they love if they cannot necessarily afford to? What if you love to travel? Can't do it because you can't afford it. What if you love to work on cars? Can't do it because you can't afford the project? Money is not everything, but what it IS is freedom to pursue what you want and desire rather than pursue what you are forced to—such as working yourself to the bone just to pay bills and put food on the table. Most likely if you do not have money you will not be able to the things you love because either you won't have the time NOR the money to do them because you are otherwise preoccupied with simply staying afloat.
