January 2023 in Review

On my birthday eve I thought I would tell you about my January , seeing as my birthday (which, as of now) happens to be tomorrow, which is Feb. 1st. 
In spite of it being one of the coldest months we endure, January was busy and went by in a blur. On New Year's day we tried a new place to eat. The following week we went to see some friends and watch a really great Elvis impersonator.
Then both mom and I got sick but were helped considerably by antibiotics I'm thankful to say.
I spent some time at my own place, that is nice. I managed to declutter more.
I went to a birthday party, or 2 and threw some axes at an indoor axe throwing party.
The Christmas and holiday decor came down. And I bought a car. :-)
As for goals - 9 out of 12 exercise goals, and at least 1 new recipe "German" pizza. I don't remember much else at the moment.
Oh , read or rather "listened" one audiobook "I'm Still a 10 Year Old Boy" by Voice Actor Nancy Cartwright, better known as Bart Simpson. She did a lot of the voices she's known for, shared her early life and work stories,... but in spite of that I did find it a bit slow.

I don't remember much about January except I'm beyond sick of seeing snow and ice outside.

Thanks ! :-) Ah yes. It is pretty tiring with all that grey and white snow and ice. Not too much longer and it'll melt. At least that's what I tell myself. lol. Aw... the Dr;'s ... I hope all is ok now.

The snow and ice are gone for now but it's been storming off and on for two weeks. 
There is a thunderstorm happening right now and is supposed to last through tomorrow. *sigh*
I go to Springfield tomorrow for my monthly allergy shot. Doctors are always in the picture, I'm afraid. Thanks, though.

@DaddyEvil Aw, I'm jealous. I love thunderstorms. We had rain yesterday, it was nice. Unusual but nice. But now it has dipped below freezing so now we have.... ice. :/
Ah. I hope the shot helps. Do you gotta hang out for an hour to make sure you don't react?

Elvis impersonators always tickle me. For one, they seem to only ever impersonate the OLD Elvis, and many of them only have the hair and the suit but not the "look." lol. Anyway, amazing that after all these years he is still as relevant as he was when he was alive.
Glad you've had a good January. All mine was was cold. lol

This guy did "50s" Elvis and Jumpsuit Elvis. lol. True. Only so close they can get to looking Elvis. I've seen blonde guys do the Elvis hairstyle, just doesn't seem right though.
He was an amazing musician for sure. Paved the way for so many others.

That’s cool he was such a good impersonator. My first reaction though was he looks nothing like Elvis.
I didn’t realizeyou have your own place. I was thinking you lived with your mom.
