Doing chores is very similar to having OCD:

This afternoon, after my nap, I went again to the kitchen to see if I could find the little pots I need for my pesto. I could not find them and I woner if the basil can wait until Wednesday when Anita will tell me where they are. That is, if she hasn´t thrown them away. Fortunatly I found one of the dozen or so so I can show it to her and ask her where she placed them. But while I was looking, I discovered that the shelf where I put the coffee and the tea was absolutly full of things. So I took everything out. I found out that, as she hides things, I had bought tea bags several times. I may have tea for 3 ot 4 months. I also found out the there were a couple of empty ice cream pots (I recycle them) full of spices. I hace 2 shelves and an over the counter place for spices and other such things (like dry mushrooms for instance). If they are with the coffee I will buy more. I NEED to have everything where I have had them for over 20 years. If not, my whole life is destroyed. The more we age the more we need a routine for some things so that we can use our few gray cells in more interesting things. And while I was looking for the containers for pesto I also found out that Anita had NOT cleaned the kitcheb hood. And it is greasy. Those are exactly the things I wast her to do. I don´t pay her to cook. I do the cooking. Friends, this is a rant

That's to bad that you can't find what you should have in your cabinets.

Yes. And it was as bad to discover that I had bought too many things for the house just because I had thought that I did not have enough.

@marguicha You can use it, can't you? It won't be wasted.

@RubyHawk I know. But my kitchen is not very big so I don´t have room to put extra things.

I hope Anita has hidden them instead of thinking that they should be thrown away.

Oh boy I would be so irritated with all those things being in the wrong places. Now you have spent precious money on more tea when you already had it.

Exactly. I live in a budget and I´m not interested in buying extra groceries that I might eat in 3 months.

I understand you very well. If I move something because I want to clean up some places, I am unable to find where I moved. I need to keep everything where it has always been. I hope that Anita will do what you ask her to to in the future.

I don´t think that she is capable of doing it. I have told her many times.

@marguicha I cannot stand to touch something in the kitchen and feel the grease.

@LadyDuck Me neither. I told her last week (I can´t climb to a stool) but I don´t understand what she did. The hood is still gresy. So tomorrow, I´ll be there.

Sorry you didn't find your containers. Glad you found other things that you don't need to buy now. Hopefully you can explain to her about moving things around

It would make me crazy to have my things put in different places. Our housekeeper just leaves things out. She doesn't put them back where she found them.

I will stop looking for it. She is coming tomorrow. If the basil is still good, I´ll do it. If it isn´t, I´ll have to buy more.

My mother often moves things when she cleans the house. I hate it because I can't find what I need when I need it.

I know that everyone moves some things because they don´t always remember where it goes. But Anita is a pro at hiding

Gosh, that would have me tearing my hair out. It almost sounds like passive aggression. Deliberately being a bit naughty.

She is not naughty. She is just a bit dumb.
