How many times do you feed your pets daily?

I am feeding my neutered cats three times daily. But someone told us that we feed them too much. They should be fed only once. And they need a small amount of food because they are neutered. I give them a small amount of food, but they are fat cats. They ask for food a lot. One of them has 6 kg, the other one has 5 kg. Are they too fat or obese?

All of the animals in my house, we feed once a day. Each other has either bowl or something that there food and water goes. Now if it's still full the next day or over a few days we leave it. The snake we have he eats every other week because that is how most snake's eat.
No we do not feed them 3 times a day depending on the type of animal and size 3 times a day can be way to much or just right this also depends on the portion size. This is also why pets have vets you can use them as a guide to what works for your pet.

@dya80dya It sounds like then your over feeding them because they are stealing thinking all food any is to be eaten. Yes all vets will say something different just like any human doctor will that is why you pick one and stick to it not 5 different once

We eat three times a day so as with our pets. We don't want them to starve.

I think they need exercise so that they can go back to their normal weight. I wish you goodluck in taking care of your cats.
