The last few years we have not done much for holidays of any kind. We have done very little for Valentine's Day.
Especially if it is in the middle of the week, it is awkward to go out. Oh, and yeah, there has been Covid.
So we exchange "I love you"s and other affectionate greetings and just chill.
We got a new TV a month or so ago. Bob watches television. Evidently Dairy Queen did a good job of promoting a "Triple Truffle" ice cream cake. Hubby went out of town to get it and ended up going to Wichita to find one.
We have not cut it yet. We just ate supper. I cannot tell you if it is as good as it looks, but Bruno was certainly interested in it.
I made a fresh pot of coffee, with a cinnamon stick in the grounds. I love it that way.
We will have our Valentine dessert in a little bit, but meanwhile, put the blinders on your partner, you may end up with a decadent dessert.

Truffle anything sounds good to me. Your sound like a real keeper. Yeah, my ex would get this delicious pie and then make me feel bad if I ate any.

@sallypup .........I'm so glad he isn't in my life anymore. The last few times I have been around him he has had this really pessimistic, asinine attitude and I can hardly wait to get away from him. So, basically, he's gotten worse instead of better.

Cinnamon is supposed to have a lot of health benefits and it gives the coffee a rich flavor.

Pretty and I wished each other a happy valentine's day while we were driving to my doctor appointment early this morning... Exchanging greetings is all we do for holidays now.
That really does look delicious! But we've been eating way too much sugar these last few days. Pretty asked me to take her to get a cinnamon roll yesterday and picked out a pack of four of them. As we were getting ready to leave the store, we passed the clearance bakery display... And she saw an Orange Julius Cake she had to have. (I won't eat that kind of cake so she'll get the whole thing. I suggested freezing most of it but I see she's already eaten half...

@GardenGerty Since I was told I'm pre-diabetic, I've been trying to avoid most sweets and cakes as well as soft drinks. I don't like a lot of the "healthy" foods the doctor wants me to eat, namely salads, but I am eating more veggies (I just really, really dislike lettuce.) and chicken instead of pork or beef.
My doctor acts like switching my diet to "rabbit food" is simple and something everyone wants. I told her she's badly mistaken... She rolled her eyes at me.

Otto is working tonight, but he's off tomorrow. We decided to have our Valentine's celebrating tomorrow while the kids are at school since we'll both be home and the restaurants will be less crowded.

Chocolate is not good for cats and can, in fact kill them. I think Bruno is missing my sister, she was his sweetheart and spoiled him rotten.

I do not feed my cat chcolate. Once a week when I have tuna I will give her a treat of it but not all the tuna. Animals sense loss and that could be that he misses your sister.
