Right from childhood I have worn bangles but not any more The bangle seller would roam the streets and we girls would pester mother until she bargained with the guy. It was a tough call not knowing what to choose but budget was the issue on which the final choice was made As I grew I switched over to silver bangles which almost covered my entire fore arm. Then ofcourse marriage meant wearing gold bangles Today I just do not wear them and they are languishing in the cupboard, Do you or the girls/women in your household wear bangles? Image credit:

I used to have some when I was a kid and teen. I haven’t worn anything like that in a long time though. I wear only my wedding band and engagement ring. I’d love if you are able to share a photo of the bangles in your own collection!

I have given most away - I had many. And as for my gold bangles I have written about how one of the maids robbed them She no longer works for us What are left is not worth creating photos of

@allknowing oh wow I am so sorry she did that to you. How rotten. Just true just a few gold ones wouldn’t make for a very interesting or beautiful photo.

@shaggin I did not take action as she took care of me when I had that accident and also I had promised to build a house for her and in this context I only spent a part for the house and did not proceed further

I don't know what I had more in my cupboard - clothes or bangles. Every dress or saree I had would have bangles nearly six different types of bangle sets. Don't wear them anymore.

I had a few when I was a very young girl. I think I threw them. I only wear my wedding band now and sometimes I remove it when I have to knead the dough.

@allknowing - Those things annoyed me a lot while I typed, when I cleaned the house and when I cooked. I stopped even wearing bracelets.

I used to have a few like those in the picture when I was a child. But not since I was a teenager. I only ever had a few and I think you really need many to create a good effect. Also I found them annoying as they banged against the table when I was writing or drawing and fell down to my wrists and dangled into the water whenever I was washing my hands or doing the dishes, and generally got in the way. How do you avoid that? Also why does marriage mean gold bangles?
