Would you go travelling to the cursed place?

So I visit my Facebook recently and there is a friend who showed him that he went to 'Madain Shaleh'. He went to pilgriminate in Mekkah and stopped by in that city. That city is known as 'The stone city'. The people in that city was cursed because they against the messenger of the God and God's rules. Actually, I want to visit that city too because it looked amazing.
But another friend of mine warned me to not go to that place since we could get the bad effet of the cursed place.

@ifa225 I would love to visit holy places some day. I want to go to Israel. And Mecca. But I want to spend more time in Europe first. Everything in the United States is so "new." I want to experience a more "visceral" sense of history.

@RebeccasFarm I have not watched the movie, sound so interesting.
I already saw many people who is so cruel. I wonder how cruel they were even God punished them all at once

Apparently, it was God that cursed that place. God seems to get angry and curse places, or things. God cursed the spent in the Adam and Eve story, in the Christian bible.
At least, it was not Satan that cursed the place, but I would think twice about going to a place cursed by God too. A place cursed by Satan would be full of evil power. A place cursed by God, I do not think would have evil power in it, but more just a bad feeling about the place.
To my mind though, the God that I believe in would not curse anything; he just acts as he acts with love, above all else, and I believe these quotes of God cursing must be misquotations/wrong translations, of some sort.

I believe God is The Fair One aside being Merciful. He do the bad things to those who did bad too. If everybody did bad and no justice for that, that is not fair.

@ifa225 Well, there is God, the good force, always loving, and the Devil, the evil force.
They are a world apart in their ideals.
If God used any of the Devil's methods, to my mind, he would no longer be God, but be now working for the Devil.
The place might be cursed, as bad karma has affected the place, leaving a lower vibration, or bad taste there, but there can be no evil force coming from God there, as God does not use evil to accomplish anything.

@Ifa225 I believe cursed and blessings have their bad and good effects respectively; but I don't know much about the city you have told the story.In my country also there is a cursed village.I have never been there.

@Shivram59 I had, the photo I saw is a nice place, or it used to be a nice place. And it isaid people leave the city to protect their daughter.
And other source said the people of Kuldhara leave altoghether because of natural disaster.
Which one is correct?
