Freedom of speech, jokes, humor and videos galore. You name it, this app has it all. Tik Tok is said to be made by China. So it is banned from all US government devices according to recent news report. It is said that it can pose a threat to national security. I hope this ban doesnot spread to all US citizens' devices. I get a lot of fun and jokes from this app. It is very popular among the young people. Have you ever used this app?

I hate censorship by any government on the grounds of national security.

It is not censorship. No one is being censored. Government officials can use the app. Just not on government devices.

I never used, if you read what you allow them to do with your data I understand why governments are banning it.

No, I never used the app. because I have all I need on Twitter and Facebook. If that's the case then the government should look into it cautiously before formulating any law or decree, because America should firmly observe freedom of expression but at the same time, should still act as a police for democracy. It's a sensitive balance that the US should achieve.

You have made some valid points. There need to be a balance between freedom of speech and national safety and security. We cannot allow one to jeopardize the other.

I doubt the app will be banned from everyone, but it certainly makes sense to ban them from government computers—AND what @evilamericans said below.

Tiktok has been banned in my country for 2 years or so . It popularised the short video format. It is a fun-filled app but I don't know what price we pay for that fun. So, all in all, seems to be a wise decision by the government.
