One Day At A Time.

Hey there, everyone. It’s almost 5:30pm on my end, and I’m just getting around to sitting at my computer for the day. Yesterday was a bad day. I’m pretty sure depression was creeping through, and I don’t use that term lightly. I’m making a few changes for my mental health. Some temporary, some permanent. One change that I need to make permanent is taking it one day at a time. It’s harder than you think when you have anxiety, but it’s something I need to do. I’ll ask my therapist for some tips, but until my next appointment, I’m going to focus on whatever I have planned for the day. - Laundry, which I’ve already started. I only have one more load to go, but that’s for later. - Babysit the Little Guy (he had a half-day at school) – done, but it was worth mentioning. - My writing order. It’s the only one I’m doing today, but it has a tighter deadline than my other orders, so I want to work on it this evening. - Post on Medium.com and/or Vocal.Media. - Survey sites. I want to cash out during my slower weeks, so I need to keep up with them. - Notifications. I need to go through my notifications on here and Medium (I don’t have any on Vocal right now). - Clean out my purse. Okay, it’s a canvas bag, and it’s a mess. I need to finally get around to cleaning it out lol. I think that’s the main stuff I need to do. Afterward, I’ll spend the rest of the evening relaxing. I’m also learning how to switch my brain to “out of office” mode when I’m finished with my work. It’s a process lol. But when I’m finished with my to-do list, I’ll grab a shower, pick a movie, and just relax for the night. I really wanna watch “April Fools Day” (the horror movie from the 80s), so I need to find the DVD. I know you need to think about the future to a certain extent, but I was overdoing it and over-worrying about things (i.e., money), and I can’t take any next steps without a clear head, so I’m going to try taking it one day at a time. Anyway. I know I’ve been a little vague, but it’s just because I don’t wanna share everything going on in my life right now. Just know that it’s not a life or death matter, and I’m putting my mental health first so that I can get passed these bumps in the road. Alrighty, this writing order isn’t going to complete itself, so I’m out. Thanks for bearing with me as you read this mess of a post, and thank you all for the kind comments I’ve received so far. Take care, everyone. Photo Credit: Pixabay.

I sure hope you have more good days than bad, I keep myself busy online and that helps me a lot. I always begin my mornings going through all my survey sites and was able to get another $5 Amazon gift card coming, Best of luck on your writing orders,

I hope so. I haven't quite been myself these past few weeks, and I miss it. :( Oh nice! Congrats on the $5 Amazon gift card! And thank you!

We all fall into slumps by having bad days from time to time. Just keep the faith that the good times will return soon.

Try breaking your day down into smaller tasks and focus on one at a time. Getting through one day a time, will get easier the more you do it.

I hope you're feeling a bit better. I have depression as well and know how bad it can be when it flares up.

@tammys85 this pso was important to you that you wanted to share it with us. Thank for sharing and letting us into your life. No, one day at a time is not easy to do. I hope you find the movie so you can relax and good for you wanting to do something about your mental health. It is not easy to take care of oneself. You take care and I do not feel you were vague at all.

Oh how I can relate to this post. I wish I could have looked at it like you do. One day at a time is a good plan Tammy. We need to put our mental health first. Far too many people never admit they have mental health problems.
