Friday Morning Brief

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Top o' the morning to you! It's going to be a cold day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. We'll top 29 F today with a few flurries. Flurries are more welcome than the rain we had that has turned the roads to ice. Again, I was up super early this morning. I woke with a headache, no doubt from the weather, and starving. I waited as long as possible to eat. I don't like eating too early. I had a banana before I started my walk through the building, and just finished some turkey meatloaf. That should satisfy until later. So, my plans for today include working on Where Eagles Soar. I didn't work on it at all the last two days and I really need to. I want to pass the manuscript to my friend next Wednesday when I see her at rock painting. I have exercise class at 8:30, and a bone density test this afternoon at the hospital. I hope the roads will be better by then. Right now, I'm going to spend time with you, seeing what you're up to in your world and get a nice hot cup of Irish Breakfast tea. Sunrise is still a little bit away yet, so I should get a lot accomplished before I go down for exercise. I think I'll also have a nap after the exercise class this morning. I've done my walk through the building and have almost half my steps for the day. That's how my day is looking. How is your day shaping up? Are you at the beginning, middle, or end of your day? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. What it did look like only a few days ago.

Doh! I coulda had Irish Breakfast tea this morning in honor of St Pat... It's 7°C/45°F and rainy, so a bit gloomy today. Think I'll have some toast, then after I'm done here I might continue working on my castle cross-stitch or just read.

@just4him Actually, I just read. There was enough natural light for that but I would have had to turn on the light for the stitching, and I didn't feel like doing that.

It's a really good black tea. I'm sorry it was gloomy today. I hope you got a lot done on your cross-stitch.

I am one of the "weird ones." I never eat breakfast and usually don't eat until around 11am or so even though I am usually up around 5am, even on the weekends. Been this way for years.

Some people are like that. Lately, I've been eating earlier than I want to. I don't think you're weird. You fit in with at least half the people in the world when it comes to breakfast.

It started as a religious celebration in the 1500s because he brought Christianity to Ireland.

@thebos It's purpose is to recognize that he brought Christianity to Ireland.

When we were young adults, there was always a St Patrick's Day cabaret. We'd dress up and have a wonderful night out.
