Wind in Santa Cruz

There was an atmospheric river yesterday. Santa Cruz is getting a lot of wind and rain. Waves were large and made great photo ops, but people for the most part stayed a safe distance away. This year has been unprecedented for rain there.

I can't blame them. I wouldn't take the risk of being close to a body of water when strong winds are blowing.

I agree that this year the weather is unexpected and unpredictable. Sometimes can rain all of a sudden.

It is indeed a copious amount of rain. The water shortage has been significantly reduced, for now.

Some areas are getting it real hard in California this year. I wouldn't want to be in that wind or anywhere near the water. We had some bad wind along with hail and rain last summer. I had to run out in it to pull some of my plants aside cause the hail was damaging them pretty bad. I sure hope the weather changes fast in California.

@Aquitaine24 I sure hope so. We are suppose to have a storm tomorrow. It did snow a bit today but it didn't leave any on the ground.

It is less windy in San Jose then 9n the coast or peninsula. Less rain too.

I have seen the effects of the storm in Santa Cruz California on the Weather Channel. It is sobering to see the effects of the storms.
