British Accent!

As I've mentioned in my previous post here that I am exploring monday.com platform for my project. Now, just finished the training about monday.com and I was so frustrated because I had a hard time understanding the discussion because the facilitator has this British accent. Luckily someone from the attendees requested to record the session so that we can replay the recordings to better understand the training. Lesson learned I have to expose myself to a different accent because I'm obviously losing a lot of opportunities to learn because of limited exposure. It's Friday! last day of work! Have a nice day, guys!

Accents usually get easier the more you're exposed to them. I hope you do well with the training.

@cttolledo everything needs time and practice though you can't pronounce exactly like the native speakers but atleast you'll be able to understand them also

Um..but you cannot hear accents in discussions. Do you mean the way of writing? I am sorry if I misunderstand here.

As in school I learned British English I had a very hard time understanding American accents. After visiting there I am fine with both accents now.

@cttolledo I remember we were in New York with two French friends and one British. The French friend "apologized" to the British because his English was not very good. The British looked around and pointing to the Americans talking around said "do not worry, no one in this city speaks English".

It can be hard to understand people with different accents. I'm glad you will be learning to understand them so you can do your work better.
