I regularly apply coconut oil on my hair.

In Bengal the hair in the head is dependent on application of oil. In Calcutta coconut oil is very popular. We buy coconut oils of different companies and apply them on the hair. There is steady growth. The hair never grows like women, as they have long hair. But the quality of hair is good if regularly coconut oil is applied before bath.

In the US, it's women who usually get oil applied to their hair in a salon once a month or every two months... Men don't usually apply oil to our hair. (I use a conditioner on my hair after I wash it with shampoo when I shower every other day. It keeps my long hair soft and easy to manage.)

Back in the village where I once lived as a kid, the women there applied oil to their hair and body every after baths. It makes the hair blacker, easier to manage, and healthier. The skin is also well-moisturized and healthy.

@sathviksouvik I don't apply anything as it's a boy's bob. But my grandkids usually have their hairs oil-treated every 6 months.
