Hello, mylotters! Today I have to start my "diet" prior to my colonoscopy. The list of ingredients they sent was scarce and I will have to see what I can do with them in the microwave oven. I am checking online for soups and broths there. Mi colonoscopy procedure is scheduled for Tusday morning. So I imagine that that day I will be a zombie most of the day. Mu breakfast today means tea and soda crackers. So there I go. I cannot even add butter to the crackers. See you later, friends.

I hope your colonoscopy goes alright. I hope you would also find the ingredients of your diet and that you will recover quickly. Take care.

I am just sorry that you have to have this procedure done in such a stressful time of your life. Those forced diets are not fun, either. I recently drove a cousin to her colonoscopy and then home again. She was so exhausted afterwards, she even fell asleep in the car on the way home. Just take care of yourself.

They sedate you for the colonoscopy, that´s why you sleep.

@marguicha Yes. She was rather loopy and on the nutty side after hers, she didn't make a lot of sense. But after she rested, and woke up, she was starving and was fine then after she ate.

All I can remember from when I had a colonoscopy was nothing red... They didn't want to be fooled into thinking I was bleeding when the camera when through. The diet before the colonoscopy wasn't the worst thing, though... Letting them put the camera in me wasn't fun. Waiting to heal from the slice they took out of me was the worst part. I hurt for a week after the procedure was over.

I never felt anything because they sedated me heavily.

@marguicha I think they started on me before the sedation took full effect and then I felt where they took a slice out of my backside until it fully healed.

Wow. Good luck. And what's the reason for the diet?

What I hate most about the colonoscopy was the medicinal prep prior. I got so sick. I hope you got through it OK.
