Yesterday's trip to the big Tesco.

The flowers for Mum's friend Nan.

Yesterday we went to the big Tesco again. After putting the soft plastic recycle in the recycle receptacle, we went up on the lift. We had to use the left lift because the right lift was out of order and there was a small barrier stopping you from getting near it which said on the side "Danger! Escalator under maintenance!" When we got into the main shop we looked at some flowers to give to Mum's friend Nan, who was knocked over by a dog and broke her leg. She's back home now, so Mum wants to take her some flowers. I saw some I liked but they looked a bit squashed. I went and got a stamping magazine, some seaweed thins, a bottle of water and 2 prawn layered salads, one for yesterday's dinner and one for Friday. Then we went back to the flowers and chose some different ones. I went and got some toothpaste for me and then we got some Anadin Extra and 2 packets of soothers for my step-dad. We chose 2 different flavours of soothers, one blackcurrant and the other honey and lemon. We got the usual things. When we got to the cakes I saw some new vegan cakes from the same brand which are small like the others I get but are chocolate so I decided to try those this week for a change. We got some honey roasted peanuts. Mum wanted some Alpen with no sugars, but they'd run out of boxes of that and there were only bags and Mum didn't want a bag, so I'm going to go and get some of that on Tuesday instead. We got some frozen peas and other frozen stuff. My cauliflower bites were still out of stock so I got another different vegan thing instead. I got some toilet paper, kitchen roll and washing up liquid and then we went to pay. It came to just over £106. Mum went to look at how much photos cost from the passport photo booth. She wants to get some photos done for her voting ID. They are £6, but she didn't have time to do them right then. I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap and we went back down on the lift. My step-dad was already there waiting, but we were just on time. I don't think he'd been there many seconds because his lights were still on. We put the groceries in the boot and went home. When we got home I unpacked the groceries and had my dinner. I forgot to put my fish out to thaw last night, probably because I was too involved with watching Painting Birds With Jim And Nancy Moir on Sky Arts! So when I realised at 7:00am in the morning, I got up and put the fish out. At around 10:30am when I checked on it, it was still rock hard, so I put it on another plate, because the one it was on had a metallic rim round the edge, and put it in the microwave to thaw it. I put in on for 50 seconds, but it still felt rock hard, so I put it on for another 50 seconds, and that helped but it does still feel a bit icy. If it still needs it just before I'm about to do my dinner, I'll thaw it out a bit more. Later today me and my Mum will go round and deliver the flowers to Nan. What are you lot all getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Being ableto swap books is a great saving. New books are expensive nowadays.

Yes, I know what you mean. The Oxfam book shop is also good for cheap second hand books.

Thank you very much. I hope she does too. She's not my Nan, she's just called Nan. In fact I think her real names Annie.

Yes, she really liked them. And she was surprised when we turned up because we didn't let them know we were going!

It's a lovely sunny day here, but a bit breezy. I have lots of seeds to sow so I'm trying to do one or two types every day.

@Fleura I'd like to be able to plant some stuff but that's my step-dad's job! What are nasturtiums?

It's really sunny here today too. What types of seed are you sowing? I hope you manage to finish that soon.
