Several years I got into a fight with the teacher whose classroom was right across from mine. He started blasting music first thing in the morning and in between classes. It was annoying. No one wants to hear “Cotton-Eyed Joe” at full volume first thing in the morning. He refused to stop so I got the union and administration involved. Admin’s solution was to take away my classroom because he was the golden boy. Well that teacher has left the district and the teacher who moved into his spot has continued his music tradition. Apparently she is playing music the other teachers around her don’t like and very loudly. 2 of them today said to me “now I understand why you were so upset”. I told them not to complain because we all know what admin’s solution will be.
