Lightning Marathon?

I love a good lightning storm. Since I was a child with my face pressed up against the window pane I have been excited each time there is one of these storms. The stronger the better. The energy and power created is such a rush. Lightning is the most powerful phenomenon in nature. On the History Channel, there are several shows that I really enjoy. Like "Ancient Aliens" and "The Unexplained". Last week's "The UnExplaned" episode was "Earth's Unsolved Mysteries". Lake Maracaibo-This body of water near a major river in Venezuela is called the lightning capital of the world. Why? Because it has a long lightning storm each night. 300 days out of the year the lightning goes on and on for hours and hours. It is not like lightning experienced anywhere else on the planet. Scientists say some places on the Earth are like lightning valleys. They aren't sure why. They said it could be the water, the altitude, or the general atmospheric conditions. Very hard to pin down exactly what is happening there. Chaos theory? Places where things like this happen. They have 'attractors' that seem to collect in these places and occur there where they don't anywhere else. I want to go here and see this lightning firsthand. I think it would be exhilarating.
