These kinds of stories are a pleasure for me to share on this site since it is nice to see persons who work with the railroad industry receive awards for saving the life of anyone who needs to be rescued. Hudson Line train engineer William Kennedy noticed someone wandering on the train tracks in Tarrytown New York on Thursday April 6 of this year. William sent an emergency radio communication to all engineers to all train crews that a three year old child wandered on the railroad tracks. One of the North Metro Railroad employees ran 40 years to scoop up the three year old boy and take him to the train safe and sound. The name of the three year old boy who suffers from autism was reunited with his parents who are grateful that the train engineers saved their child from death by accident. I am just wondering how the child managed to leave the sight of his parents in the first place? Link is abc7.com/child-rescued...

I agree. What was a 3-year-old with challenges doing wandering around the train tracks?

I am wondering why a 3 year old child would go on train tracks myself?

That what was crossed my mind; where the heck were the parents? Not one parent, but two. That is ridiculous.

I am in agreement with you that bad parenting could have ended in disaster had the engineer not rescued the boy.

Hurray to the train engineers and the railroad staff for responding quickly and safely. More power to you.

Now how in the world did a small child wander on the tracks, The parents should get a thousand lashes for not watching him,

I am in agreement with you that the parents should be punished for allowing their child to wander on the railroad tracks.
