After the detour to the waterfall I continued along the Cherohala Skyway through the Cherokee National Forest. Spring in the mountains is beautiful. Heck, just about any time in the mountains is beautiful.
The Tellico River provided lovely scenery for several miles, running well after the spring rains. That’s the bottom two photos, taken from the Wildcat Overlook.
Top left is Indian Boundary Lake, the focal point of the Indian Boundary Recreation Area. Ooh, that is a pretty area! And top right looks back at the road and scenery from the Wildcat Overlook.
Yeah, it was a good day.

Sounds and looks like some lovely country. I so envy you getting to see your mountains in the Spring. My Rocky Mountains here is also lovely. I haven't been up to them in years.
