Good morning from this side of the planet . It's 11:40 AM here and the weather has been more or less cloudy here. It's pleasant after a night long shower. People are back to work after a long weekend. And I still have one more month of vacation left. Husband chose to stay home and work from home. He is still a bit down and also, there is supposed to be a lot of traffic owing to heavy rain till early morning. Also, when we checked the route to his office, it showed a lot of detour of routes because of all political campaign happening in the city today. The state is going for its state election on 10th May and the politicians from all political parties want to make their last powerful impact in the coming couple of days before the campaign is stopped for real voting. He did not want any inconvenience to commute to his work and chose to stay home It's second day of new month. I feel good when a new month starts on Monday . Things seem more sorted that way It's my second post here for this month. So, I am doing good with the plan of making one post daily Done with morning chores, yoga and stretching exercises, and a very late breakfast at 11 AM. So, I would call it a brunch. No one felt hungry in the morning to have breakfast in time. Moreover, we had idli ( steamed rice and urad dal dumplings), dosa ( pancake with the same batter as idli), sambhar ( spicy tangy lentil soup with loads of veggies, spices and tamarind pulp) and chutney ( spicy mixture of peanut and coconut grinded with cumin and green chilli). It was yummy and a protein rich healthy breakfast. I am sure that no one would have appetite for lunch and I would skip making it. We have watermelon and everything ready to fix a quick sandwich in case someone feels hungry . Will be here for a while till I rest my feet. Then I need to do some more cleaning around the house and folding and ironing of laundry from yesterday. But for another forty minutes, I just want to stay focused here and respond to as many new discussions as I can Received my order for box of Alphanso Ratnagiri mangoes this morning . You can see that in the picture. That makes the Tuesday even more happy

The mangoes look yummy. We usually eat brunch here too because everyone is still sleeping on holidays but during the school week, the kids eat breakfast and I eat brunch as I wake up late. It's good you have done so many chores, while your husband can work at home. I guess it's the voting season in your place. Good luck with your candidates.

When I am at home, I prefer to go for two meals in a day routine and mostly have brunch, light tea with something to munch in the afternoon and a early dinner. I have been productive so far. It's 12:24 PM and I hope to stay productive throughout the day

My mango tree is full of raw mangoes but I won't be enjoying the ripe ones as I will be away at Kolkata with my son. My maid will enjoy it.

Oh! That's sad. My mom has agricultural land...acres and acres with different varieties of Mangoes, litchi, jackfruit, guavas etc. We grew up eating fresh fruits from our orchard. Now, mom sells most of it. Earlier also she had enough to sell. And she feels bad that we live so far. Her mangoes are yet not ripe. She sends some langda through courier but it's not feasible to send a lot of them. Your maid will be happy. Enjoy your time with your son. You can take some raw ones for them to use in different preparation.

As you know we have mangoes in our property and we harvested a few. Most are ripe and they are now in the fridge. The Neelams are doing well this year - their size has increased.

Wow!! Enjoy them. I like Neelam and Mallika. These mangoes are not there in North. We grew up eating Dussehri, Langda, Chausa etc. Mom has big orchard of Mangoes, litchi, jackfruit, banana and jamun. Few orchards spanning to acres and acres. Her mangoes are still unripe and small. In North, mangoes will flood the market in June. But this untimely heavy showers in last few days might damage some of the crops.

Yes, no one felt hungry for lunch except my younger daughter. Well, teenagers are so active and they keep getting those hunger pangs.. She made herself a lettuce cheese sandwich and enjoyed some watermelon. These are yummy!! Enjoying them as dessert after dinner. We still have a few more left. Meanwhile, I have ordered for another box with a different variety of mango called Mallika.

You might find them there. Maybe in some good Indian stores. India exports a lot of Alphanso and other superior quality mangoes abroad.

We took few times from the same organic farmhouse last year and they were super delicious! They are semi ripe and we need to wait for couple of days to consume them. They were harvested last afternoon.

We haven't been shopping yet since we arrived home from Ireland so we have no bread. Maybe we'll make pancakes for breakfast. Those mangoes look pretty good.
