Yesterday's Coronation celebrations.

Yesterday Church didn't start till 11:00am so I had time to wash some of the dirty stuff that I got out of the cupboard. I wore a mask to wash them so I didn't inhale any more dust! I sorted out the stuff I was taking for my picnic lunch at Church and put it in my bag. Mum took another large hession bag I got from Christians Against Poverty when I gave a donation once. We took one of the large celebrations plastic containers with 6 of the raspberry muffins and 6 of the blueberry muffins to share. Mum put her picnic on top of that in the CAP bag. I walked to church as usual. Mum got a lift with my step-dad and brought the CAP bag with the rest of the stuff in. I thought she was going to be late but she got here just in time. We sang several songs and then we had a couple of prayers for the new King. After that we sang a few more songs. Then we went into the sports hall where tables had been set out. I sat on a comfy chair infront of a smaller table. I went down first and saved a seat for my Mum as it took her longer to get down to the sports hall. I ate some of my couscous and tofu salad, but Mum was impatient to try and give out some of the muffins. So I ate a blueberry muffin first, then took the box over to the table where the leaders of Mum's house group and their family was sitting. Mum's friend Dawn was sitting on that table too. They all had one of my Muffins each. Then I went over to another table where Mum's friends Bill and Diane and Frances were sitting. I'd only got raspberry muffins left now as all the blueberry ones had been taken by the previous table! Bill and Frances had one but Diane said she was already full. Another person on the table said no thank you when I offered her a muffin. Then I went back to my seat and showed my Mum that I only had two raspberry muffins left. I continued eating my couscous and tofu salad, then I ate one of my vegan yoghurts that I'd brought along. After that I went round trying to get rid of the last two muffins. Everyone said no, thank you. Most of them were just too full but a few of them said they couldn't eat gluten and I didn't know if there was any gluten in the muffins. I came to one table where most of them said no thank you but there was this Chinese lad who seemed interested so I said, go on, go on, go on! And he took one of the muffins and I said, yeah! I had one muffin left. I asked Tim if he wanted my last muffin and he said no thank you, I'm too full. It looks very nice, though. It looks like a bunny rabbit! I went back to my Mum with the final muffin and told her what Tim had said and she laughed. Then Mum said why don't we share it? So I broke the final muffin in two and we had half each. At 1:00pm on the dot I went home leaving Mum to get a lift with Frances. I took the CAP bag with me. When I got home I unpacked everything, put dirty things to be washed, and put some mini cheddars and pringles that Mum hadn't eaten on the side. I also put a pudding that Mum hadn't eaten back in the fridge. I put Columbo on the telly to watch. I had the last of the couscous and tofu salad for my tea, and I was going to have two of the muffins that we'd left at home. I was going to have one of each but after I'd had the raspberry one I was full so I left it for a bit later. I did some washing up then I turned the TV over to BBC1 for the Antiques Roadshow Coronation special. After that the Coronation Concert started. For about half an hour they were talking to people and telling us a bit about what was going to happen. They talked to Ncuti Gatwa about his forthcoming Shakespeare performance as Romeo and the girl who would be his Juliet. Hugh Bonneville was presenting it and he promised some surprises! Someone was talking to someone backstage when a cheer went up and we were shown The King and Camilla arriving in the Royal box. They were early! Soon the Coronation Concert itself started. It was very good. There were two different Choirs, the Coronation Choir and the Commonwealth Choir. The Coronation choir that Gareth Malone and Co. put together was very good and there was a bit in the middle where they stopped singing and just signed. One of the surprises was a visit from Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog! Miss Piggy got herself engaged to Hugh Bonneville because she wanted to be a lady! During the concert I had my other muffin, and then later on I had another one! I'm going to start to look like a muffin! There were many singers who were very good and a very good pianist. Ncuti Gatwa was very good in his Shakespeare performance. It was a collaboration between different art groups. Kati Perry looked like she was dressed up as a sweet! There was a section called Light Up The Nation which was very good with different light displays around the country including in Cardiff which I loved. The light displays on Windsor Castle were very good and the ones above the stage were amazing! There was one point where it looked like a whale was coming up out of the stage! Prince William came onto the stage at one point to address the Nation which was very good. He said that, unlike Lionel Richie, who was on before him, he would not be going on all night long! We ended with Take That. And then I went to bed! I have 3 muffins left now. My Mum's going to have one, and I'll have one for my lunch and another for my supper! What have you lot been up to? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

I watched the Concert too and was disappointed that Elton John and Paul McCartney did not choose to perform. I was very impressed with the special effects and light show.

Were they asked to perform? I was impressed with the special effects and light show too. Little Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis seemed to be enjoying themselves!

They do amazing things with those light shows nowadays. Drones have really come a long way since the first ones came out.
