Hello guys, good morning. :) Today I will discuss about mental exhaustion. Many of my friends tell me that they often experience mental exhaustion, due to stress, life's problems, and a lot of thoughts that never end. They say if feel very tired, lose their zest for life. Even though they have rested all day without activity, they will still feel tired. So that many of them prefer to be alone in their room, they are silent, sleep, and some even cry. How about you? What do you do when you're mentally tired?

That sounds more like depression to me. When something upsets Pretty too much, she sleeps for 14 or more hours. She was diagnosed with clinical depression. I felt like that when I was getting divorced from my first wife. The doctor prescribed medication for me to take. It worked. I still didn't feel great but I wasn't always sleeping or feeling like everything in life was bad.

@astutimeliana723 My last divorce was almost 20 years ago. I've been fine since the judge signed the papers making me a free man. But thank you.

@DaddyEvil You never thought of remarrying during those 20 years?

Indeed, a broken heart is often one of the causes of a person's mental fatigue. I hope you get well soon.

Hi, good morning too. When I feel mentally exhausted, I must be crying. Then, "being disappear" from all my social media. Then, go to sleep. I rarely share my problem to anyone, so I just keep it myself. Crying somehow makes me feel relieve.

What you do is similar to me. I also like that when experiencing mental fatigue.

It happens with me as I get mentally and physically tired from work. I try to mediate for 15 minutes just to give peace to my mind.

True, fatigue from work can indeed make you mentally tired. Especially if it continues for a long time. After meditating for 15 minutes, are you feeling better again?

If my mind is only tired, I go out for a walk in the nature, I feel a lot better after that.

The method is quite simple, I'm glad to hear that you can recover just by walking outside.

@astutimeliana723 - Of course if it's depression, this does not work.

I don't know if I get mentally tired. I always have things I want to do. I have been under stress for the last two and half years when my son passed away and my spouse was sick and in a nursing and passed away. It's been a hard few years but I keep busy.

I'm just the opposite, not in the mood to do anything but laze around.

I do feel that way quite often. I think the only thing that makes me feel better is solutions and good future planning. No amount of sleep can fix that kind of exhaustion.

As for me, long enough sleep will help overcome it. Because at that time I was not interested in doing anything.

I usually like to write a journal about entertainment events and tune in to a religious station on You Tube giving me encouragement to rest and go back to work after a short time off.

Yes, that's good to do. But I can't do that, because I lose my zest for life.

When I'm feeling mentally exhausted, I try to take some time for myself to do things that I enjoy, like reading a book or going for a walk outside. I also find it helpful to talk to a friend or family member about how I'm feeling, as sometimes just talking about it can make a big difference.

A good father must be enough for his son as a reason to stay sane. Unfortunately not all parents can be like you. LOL
