What's the weirdest health tip that you've ever tried?

I hope that the going is good wherever you are in the world. It's a very bright morning in my country with the sun shining very pleasantly and it's likely not to rain today here. I can remember a little bit longer when I was a child that we used to go for hunting. We were using dogs during those days for hunting of some wild animals and on that particular occasion we were running after a wild rabbit. On the process I stumbled upon a piece of broken bottle and it cut me on my uncle on the right leg. The cut was so deep that I bled profusely. Being on the forest and hadn't any remedy to aid the stopping of the bleeding, one of us suggested that urine can help stop bleeding. So I tried to urinate but to my surprise nothing came out probably because of the anxiety. One of us however helped sprinkling his urine on the affected area and soon the bleeding stopped but it was very itching. After some minutes I was fine and I knew urine as a good blood clotting remedy from that day. What's that weirdest remedy have you ever used and did it work for you?

I haven't heard of this but I have heard that putting cobwebs over a wound will help the bleeding stop.

That seems to be true Judy, because spider webs are rich in vitamin K, which helps blood clot.

I'm not going to try to drink my own urine, some people I've heard of do it for the sake of health.

@Treborika it's only if it's too weird I won't do it, there's a lot to do besides being weird.

It's interesting how unconventional remedies can sometimes work in unexpected ways. I haven't personally used any unusual remedies, but I've heard stories of people using honey for wound healing, and surprisingly, it has shown some effectiveness.

You took a big risk, urine is not sterile and it does not help to stop bleeding. Possibly the irritation caused by the urine worked as a clotting.

I have heard that urine has health benefits. I’ve never had need of it. I can’t think of anything unusual I’ve used.

My voice was once really hoarse, so my grandfather gave me a big slice of pineapple and told me to suck all the juice out of it. I did until it was completely dry, and my voice was no longer hoarse.

What if the urine was contaminated with bacteria? Then you would have gotten infected. I don't remember any weird medical advice given to me.

I hadn't heard of this. I can't remember any home remedies from my childhood or adulthood.
