Annoying millions of ants today

I'm replacing a couple three patio stones and moving some others a bit, and finding scandalised ants running every which way trying to save their cattle or whatever those white nothings are. Luckily, none thought to attack me. I still have some work to do but Juanita wanted dinner. I just may go out again and see what I feel like doing to finish it up. I don't really want to leave it until tomorrow. Tomorrow I want to go grocery shopping.

I've seen ants do that before and usually those white things are their eggs.

That was my second guess, but they're so big.

I have those big carpenter ants around here and a couple years ago the stupid crew that was putting in water lines must have dug into one of their nests with their stupid machines so when I went out later that day they were all over the road running like crazy with white objects between their pinchers, I think those were eggs. Now I have even more ants dammmmit. I don't use pesticides so my place is a haven for them and other insects. I have to learn how to create a safe pesticide that won't harm bees. HA, as if that'll happen

Poor little ants, you destroyed their home. They’ll probably have it built back by tomorrow.

@RubyHawk There were a few under some of the tiles I hadn't moved yet.

The ants will get over it and find somewhere else to go.

Those "white nothings" are their children, the eggs and pupa. I hope you're enjoying your day.

I know now. Aphids are their cattle.

@BarBaraPrz Yes, they are. It's funny seeing ants "milking" aphids.

We have carpenter ants in our house again. They keep crawling on me driving me crazy. Haven’t had them in a few years.

If only they were true carpenters and built something.

Those white things are their eggs. I also moved a pot and found millions of ants and eggs under it. I took the ant killers and poured over them.

@BarBaraPrz When I noticed all those eggs I figured out billions of ants marching inside my kitchen.

Ants don't care much for being disturbed. I hope the job will be easily finished. Then the ants can all settle down again.
