MAGA cult members lose $$ on "Trump Bucks"

Trump's red state MAGA people are getting swindled out of their money. Groups are selling commemorative bills and such called like "Trump Golden Checks" or "DJT Diamond Checks". They cost $100 and the vendors claimed that they could be redeemed at banks, Home Depot, and even Walmart for up to $10,000. The companies said that "real patriots" would earn the money for buying the Trump Bucks. Yeah. Not so much. These people don't have the best critical thinking skills which of course is why they think Trump was an amazing president. What is the saying? "A fool and his money are soon parted." Yup. I find it amazing that these red state people who rely on government assistance are always so willing to spend/send their money on Trump fundraisers. It isn't clear if these fake Trump bills are actually linked to Trump's grift. It really is crazy that these people with limited funds want to send their money to a supposed billionaire.

It always happens with fanatics. It is a pity though. I bet many of those people don´t have much money.

@TheHorse It is a pity. And a shame. The US should have enough money to have a decent education system (among other things).

One Grandma in the article I read seemed to be doing OK. But you're right. Many Trump supporters don't have much money or education.

@marguicha Some won't avail themselves of it. I think we have a cultural problem here. A lot of dummies who take pride in being dummies. But I've know people from other countries who think the same way. I'll elaborate later.

It doesn't surprise me that the MAGA crowd is being easily swindled by this scam. They fell for two of Trump's biggest scams, aka his 2016 and 2020 campaigns, by the millions.

I can't argue with that.

It’s difficult to feel sorry for them. It’s obvious that they are easily taken, given their cult-like devotion to Orangeface. Still, it is a crime. Wonder if the GOP House will prosecute?

I wonder if Trump will comment on the scam.

@TheHorse — with him selling those trading cards for $100?? I don’t think he has room to talk. Of course, that’s never stopped him before.

The article I read this morning said that Trump was NOT behind this one. At least apparently not.

I think they're motivated more my "making money" than by anything else. It's odd that Trump has not come out with a statement against the scammers. My thought this morning was that Trump would re-hire Michael Cohen an sue the sh*t out of these people. Then I re-thought.

It’s just crazy. Put Trumps name on it and people will buy it.

@NJChicaa I haven't read much about it. Is this a Trump-generated swindle, or is someone using Trump's brand name to swindle?

If they are dumb enough to think he is a good politician, then they are dumb enough to fall for this scam

That's a shame that they would believe they could exchange $100 for $10,000.
