Friday's trip down town.

On Friday me and my Mum went down town. We didn't have much to get, but we wanted to have our lunch out. On the way I took some photos including this one of St Chad's Church (above).
When we got into town the first thing we did was we went to the toilet. Then I went and gave my old A-Team DVDs to the Oxfam book shop. I've got a new set of DVDs now with commentaries on so I don't need the old ones. Then we went to the post box infront of Superdrug so Mum could post some birthday cards for a few of her friends.
After that we went to the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe. I had coco king prawns and Mum had a lamb thing with mashed potatoes and a salad. I had a lemon, lime and ginger drink and Mum had blackcurrant and lemonade. It was all very tasty and I didn't need any dinner when I got home.
After we'd finished and been to the toilet in the cafe, we went to the town centre Tesco and got some strawberries, baby potatoes and a salady thing for tomorrow because it's Bower day tomorrow, that's if it's on because I haven't checked! I was going to have the salady thing for lunch out tomorrow because the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe isn't open on Mondays or bank holidays! But Mum didn't get herself anything. She got one of the salady things for my step-dad's dinner on Friday. I think that's all we got. Oh, and Mum asked for some stamps at the till.
Then we went to the toilet by the Cathedral again and then we went home. It was about 4:30pm when we got home, which is a big improvement.

What is Bower Day? Tomorrow is Memorial Day here in the US. Love the picture.

Bower Day is where we have a procession with floats and things. They start with the morris dancers and there might be jazz bands. They crown the Bower Queen and Prince and Princess at 12:00 midday then the procession goes all the way round Lichfield City Centre. Afterwards there's entertainment and fairground rides in Beacon Park and also fairground rides in the carpark behind B&M. It's a big day out.

Sounds like you had a nice day out with your mom. I haven't been out to eat in awhile, i do eat at the bowling alley on nights i bowl but haven't been to an actual restaurant in a few months.

We had a fulfilling Sunday yesterday for we listened to our granddaughter Adel giving her talk on the Second Coming of Jesus in our Sacrament meeting. She's good. She knows the Scriptures.
