One worry out of my head. Are you ever a worrier?

OK, I have one thing out of the way. My buddy Jerry, in Montana, hadn't called me back in a couple of weeks. He's the one who put me in touch with the lawyer in Montana, a well as with others possibly involved in my attempt to unload some properties that I can't take with me to the grave. Was he ill? Was he (a Conservative) ticked off about Trump's demise? Did I say something offend him in our last conversation? Did I say too much to others about his small mining operation near my cabin (downstream, thankfully)? We chatted yesterday morning. He returned my call. All is well. he's just been busy digging out of snow and, more recently, dealing with near flood conditions from some heavy rains. We chatted away as usual. If all goes as planned, he and I will get to hang out in August, argue about politics, drink non-alcoholic beer (he drank a bit for his younger ways), and the price of hay. Do you ever overthink? I pride myself in being "chill," but I always worry a bit when I don't hear from (my remaining) friends in awhile. Photo is of my cabin. I hope to be up there reading in my hammock (and repairing my bridge, no doubt) in a little more than two months.

Glad to hear Jerry is doing well, just busy with snow and rain. It's natural to overthink when friends are silent, but it's great that you'll get to hang out in August and enjoy your cabin together. Happy hammock reading and bridge repairing!

I do on occasion, and it really annoys my dad. My friends don't care, and it amuses some of my casual friends. But my dad has no patience for over thinkers. Or maybe, it's just me. Probably just me.

I tend not to worry about much. K does enough worrying for both of us and then some. It took until these later years, but I realized that if I couldn't do anything about a situation, worrying about it did me no good, so I don't.

@TheHorse I try not to purposely offend others unless they're asking for it. One thing to keep in mind is that being offended is a choice. No matter how hard you try, someone else can choose to be offended by what you say or do. When it happens, remember, it's more a reflection on them than on you.

In general, I am not a worrier. But reckon I do sometimes. Especially about offending others.

I tend to worry about things I can't change... and it drives Pretty nuts. She's always telling me not to worry so much. *shrug*

@almostoveryou When my friends and I used to go places together, I was the one who always drove. I hate riding in a vehicle someone else is driving.

@DaddyEvil at least you're proactive that way it's like how my mother-in-law would often volunteer to cook because she only prefers to eat meals that she makes herself.

You have a beautiful cabin. I'm glad your friend is all right and your worrying was for nothing. Yes, there are times when I overthink.

I like it when I can make something decent out of it all in my writing.

@just4him As I was discussing with another Mylotter, there are some things I cannot write about right now with my real name on said writings.

My cousin panicked on Sunday. She hadn't heard from her mother that morning. Her mother lives across the street from me. My mother told my cousin that she would go over to check on her. My cousin finally got a hold of her mother. later on.

@TheHorse They do, but they might have been in church, and sometimes my great-aunt doesn't have hers with her when she is outside mowing.

I am a worrier, when I do not hear people for a long time I start thinking that something bad happened. I am glad your friend Jerry called back.

@TheHorse I often tell to myself that I should stop worrying about everything, that it makes no sense. I think we cannot change our way to think.

You got me at the right moment I am now overthinking all sorts of scenarios. My friend Nick here got his SS on Saturday. I usually get mine a couple of days later. So here I am worrying about when it will show up and I am on pins and needles. Everything is gone but rice,

I have a tendency to overthink things quite often, I am always stopping myself and saying, here you go again...it's better than it used to be, but yes, I still do it. I thought about asking, can I come and see that cabin...but hey, I have a sneaking feeling there is no bathroom. I don't mind roughing it a bit, but I have reached the point in my life that I want a bathroom, so I will not ask...unless you get one soon!! (You know I am just kidding. I think. I love Montana, as you know!) When I was first on mylot, you were coming back from Montana and had a broken truck or car? Am I remembering that right?

You remember it right. My Nissan Xterra broke down. So I bought a used Chevy Silverado up in Montana for under $10,000.

@TheHorse I just remembered thinking how hard it would be, no car, have to return, and what to do. Well, one thing Montana has a lot of is big trucks and other 4 wheel drive vehicles! If you live there, you pretty much have to have one.

Glad to hear that your friend is OK. I am a serial worrier. I worry about everything. I think it's because hubby worries about nothing; and I have to pick up the slack. Have a great day. Nice looking cabin.

glad things are well. yes, i'm a terrible worry-wart. i tend to be anxious about things that might happen and worry that i won't be able to do much or solve the "imagined" problem.
