Today We are Getting a Heavy Rain!

When I can't think of anything to write about, I resort to talking about the weather. This is something that affects every single one of us, no matter where we live in the world. Michigan has been very dry, for two months straight.
Today, we are getting a heavy rain shower. It started out, as light sprinkles off and on. Now, it's really pouring down! We have needed this rain in a big way:)
And if it continues like this for a couple days, local farmers will be doing a happy dance!

It seems like two weeks after we get a good, soaking rain, our local weather person says we're in a drought again, while some people really are in a drought. I don't know if we are though. I'm glad Michigan is getting a good rain since you are in need of it.

The raging fires are long gone now. Leaving behind the black skeletal structures, that used to be beautiful trees.

The rain is coming down here also and some rumbling in the background, This is our second day of rain. It has been hot and humid and I would go out on my porch to cool off in the rain but I don't want any lightning zapping me,

@kobesbuddy I don't blame you I am afraid of it too. Three blocks to the right of the house here is the Atlantic Ocean and one block to the right is the Halifax River and if that lightning hits either the noise is deafening,

@RasmaSandra We have had trees split from top to bottom by lightening, near Lake Huron. Those trees are the highest thing in the sky, so that's why they get hit.

There were two flashes of lightening over the big lake, so I drove home. I'm afraid of liightening:(

Our farmers have been crying for rain. Crops are suffering big time, now these people will smile big!
