Oh, the joy of having to plan a vacation is anything but fun. Prices shopping for possibly the shortest beach weekend ever. Lol, it's probably not the shortest but it's only going to be like two days maybe a day. We will see! My husband's grandmother has a birthday in July, and we owe the kids their annual beach trip. So, we are rolling it all in one since they are in the same direction. The birthday is Saturday, and we need to decide if we are leaving and driving for 2-3 hours on Friday night or getting up early Saturday morning. Drive to his aunt's and grandmom's house. You might remember they lived together due to his grandmom's head trauma for years back. Either have a birthday late lunch/ early dinner or spend a few hours around their new pool with the kids. Then jump back into our car and drive the rest of the way to the beach which should be 1-2 hours from where his aunt lives and either stay with friends or find a place to stay. I'm thinking hotel or something.

Planning can be stressful, but that's a good idea to Rei roll two in one.

yes and no thankfully we used to have a place to stay between the two but we want to stay at home hotel this time to make it easier since our normal places have one room down. But we changed the dates my husband has a 4-day week at the being of July so we are going to do the beach instead and the kids godparents will be off of work during that break, so they get to see the kids.

@kaylachan It does which means there is no rushing home on the 15th we can stay late and drive home knowing that the next day is still the weekend. I just won't sign up for the weekend we are going to the beach to see family my daughter not having silk class.

Ahh...the joys of vacation planning. I hope you are able to work everything out and enjoy your time, even if it is a short one.

Oh, we will. My husband decides to go on the 4th of July weekend since he has a 4-day weekend and his best friend is off from teaching over the weekend. She is a especial education teacher so she teaches all year around.
