World Hardest Dish

My friend who just came back from her travel told me a shocking story of her experience while she was in Hongkong. She said that she tried Suodiu, a stir-fried stones. She bought this dish from a street food vendor. How do the vendors cook up this dish? Vendors pour chilli oil onto pebbles sizzling on a teppanyaki-style grill, sprinkle garlic sauce all over them, then stir-fry everything with a mix of garlic cloves and diced peppers. My friend was instructed to suck off the flavors, then spit out the rocks. She said that the pebbles tasted so delicious, and that she would make it by herself in the future as it would be a perfect food to lose her weight. I told her that I think this is the world hardest dish. Are you interested in trying this stir-fry?

Did you ask your friend how much she paid for that? I'm wondering if they're selling something she really can't eat for the same price as real food? Then pick up the stones again and heat them with oil to cheat someone else.

Yeah, she spent $3 for a portion of this dish. I understand what you meant, the vendors can re-use the pebbles for the next cooking. But, she was offered to take the pebbles with her as souvenirs. However she just tossed them.

Most Chinese food is spicy. I'm not sure if children eat it or not. But, I will not recommend this food to any children under 5 since they can get choked by the pebbles.

Honestly, it sounds like someone who wanted to make money without putting a lot of money into the product. I totally believe it was good because the flavoring has delicious ingredients! But your friend would be subsisting on such few calories and little protein that I hope they eat much more during the day. It’s definitely an original way to make money or cook up a little food!

Kinda cheating, isn't it? I wonder why some people pay for this inedible food. I myself prefer to buy real food.

This is like what they call stone soup. They put everything in there and then throw the soup

Stone soup sounds better than stir-fried stones as at least it contains more liquid to enjoy

Surprised! Better for the vendor to sell spices and sauces. When people got more developed, they do tasks like underdeveloped as their confidence level is at its peak. I am not saying this to your friend, as she is new to this which made her excited to know, so she bought

Yeah, I'm in agreement with you. I think the vendors are so desperate, they didn't know what to sell anymore. Hence, they created this unusual dish. Luckily the food becomes a trend now. My friend is crazy about trying things which are trending. I don't know what in her mind is.

Haha, I've never heard of such a dish before. As a Chinese, I think it tastes strange to eat like this. Is that just eating seasoning?

People get pleasure from the sauce. That's it.
