I am not applying sunscreen because I need vitamin D. I stay indoors a lot and I don't think I need sunscreen. I am not afraid of sunlight. This summer is hot, but rainy and cloudy. I am trying to enjoy every day with sunlight. I am staying on my balcony when I need vitamin D. Do you apply sunscreen when you go out?

@LadyDuck that's better the hot sun can cause sunburns and it's also very uncomfortable

I don't apply sunscreen because I don't really mind the suntan. Especially I stay indoor most of the time and I just spend about 15 minutes on the way to work and home. It is not necessary to apply the sunscreen. If I go to swim, then it is likely I will apply the sunscreen as the sunburn will make me feel worse next day.

Back in the day, yes, as I had to walk for long stretches under the sun. Nowadays, not really as I stay at home as often as possible.

I know it won’t happen to you because you said you don’t spend a lot of time outside, but you can actually get sunburned on a cloudy day. A lot of people don’t realize clouds don’t prevent all UV rays from getting to us so if a person wears sunscreen on sunny days they should wear it on cloudy days.
My makeup has sunscreen in it, and I don’t go outside often, so I usually don’t wear more than that. I should, but I don’t.
