The nightingale sings in the rain

Every morning I hear a nightingale sing in our garden. Today, it is joining its tune with the rain. It reminds me of the lone bird that sings in the snowy winter, bringing a hope for summer. I forget the poet. Can you remind? Perhaps Wordsworth. But it may be any other of the nature poets. It's sowing season of paddy. But farmers need heavy rain to do the work. It has not come yet.

They are in Europe, so I have never heard one here. But I have many others I hear daily, year round.

That sounds like some beautiful sounds in the morning. I can hear some birds chirping.

We don't have nightingales here but I know canaries love to sing when it's raining.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard the song of a nightingale. Hopefully it will rain soon.

Currently in the nursery/crochet room and I'm listening to the birds singing. They're not nightingales though. Love the sound of the bird in the morning.
