Black vultures on the street

Some black vultures are always seen in the street every early morning before the streets are crowded by cars and people. They enjoy eating dead animals on the street, like mice, small birds or sometimes they look for food from trash on the sidewalks. Some people don't want to keep the streets clean. Are there vultures on the streets in your town?

It gives different story to the cleanliness of the street here when vultures are roaming around the city streets.

No, I haven’t seen vultures in quite awhile. Usually, I only see them if I happen to pass the city dump.

Vultures near a city dump sounds reasonable to me.

A or two decades back, we could see many vultures all around here but now it is very rare to see them. Many such birds are getting extinct.

@Shasha_ No, people in India do not eat these birds. They are getting extinct because of deforestation, pollution and the development of industries all around the cities and rural areas too.

That's sad. Do you know why those birds are getting extinct? I mean, do people eat them?

@Shasha_ Along US highways there are animals that have been killed by cars but I don't know where the vultures live.

Do you know where the vultures usually look for food or hang out?
