do u know how to access ur boot devices in bios? you would usually enter by pushing F2 on ur keyboard when u see the dell logo...usually it's blue. and look around for boot devices or sequence. then tell me what that is...you should make the cd rom go first..so u can install windows. one question you are trying to boot the cd right and not the harddrive w/ the os on it right now correct?

u've tried to boot from the cd? i am guessing that you went into the system bios and tried to make it boot from cd and not just push the cd in and make it work right...?

I have 40 computers over a lan. I can share internet over 40 pc's including my server through a proxy server from a single internet connection. But I could not use Outllok Express in my client computers. I am able to operate Outlook Express only from that client where proxy is installed. Any idea how to configure Outlook Express over lan without sharing Internet Connection Sharing(it's my restriction)

i am well aware of your proxy situition for my school is like that... ok let me get this straight are you trying to let client a send an email to client b via outlook express? are all of your clients on an internal email server on the lan or a external provider like gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc?

Well, sorry for late reply. You are slightly diverted from my point. For your information, i am not using any mail server but i have a personal domain & all e-mail ids in this domain is configured in outlook. I am able to send mails from outlook from that pc where broadband internet is installed. By making it a proxy server, i can use internet explorer or Firefox in other clients, but could not able to send or receive mails from outlook in any clients expect that where broadband is installed. Hope you will be clear..

so your saying that you can recieve email from computers where they are connected to the internet? and if they can't connect to the internet with out entering the proxy setting into the program, ex: firefox, outlook...etc i'm pretty sure your lan internet only allows you on the internet if you have a proxy put into ur program...so therefore your computers will all have to have internet...but i'll look into this and see what i can find... let me get it straight...u want your clients to recieve mail even if they are not on the internet but are on the lan?
