Is this news story scary? Or funny?

Apparently, a renegade sea critter has been terrorizing surfers off the coast of Santa Cruz California. No, @Vandana7, it's not a you-know-what. It's a sea otter.
As I read the story, I found myself wondering if there wasn't a bit of humor to it. And then a bit more humor. The critter hasn't bitten any people, only surf boards, and has apparently even stolen a surfboard.
But wait. Did this critter actually "catch a wave"? I'm suspicious.
I'm going to have to read the story again. Does this story scare you? Or make you laugh just a bit?
An ornery, board-jacking sea otter is terrorizing surfers off the coast of Santa Cruz. An effort is underway to capture the creature.

I’ve never encountered a sea otter. I’m not sure if it would frighten me or not. It sounds like a real prankster.

I think it's darn cute. I love otters. He's just bored and wanted to see some people. As long as he doesn't hurt anyone, let him run amock. Enjoy your day.

I have seen them in pictures and they do look darn cute. I would not expect such behaviour from such cute creatures. The story made them look like pranksters for these surfers.

Maybe they also want to surf and have fun. Or just put a small surf board on the big one and let them have the small one just in case.
