Is this news story scary? Or funny?

Apparently, a renegade sea critter has been terrorizing surfers off the coast of Santa Cruz California. No, @Vandana7, it's not a you-know-what. It's a sea otter. As I read the story, I found myself wondering if there wasn't a bit of humor to it. And then a bit more humor. The critter hasn't bitten any people, only surf boards, and has apparently even stolen a surfboard. But wait. Did this critter actually "catch a wave"? I'm suspicious. I'm going to have to read the story again. Does this story scare you? Or make you laugh just a bit?
An ornery, board-jacking sea otter is terrorizing surfers off the coast of Santa Cruz. An effort is underway to capture the creature.

@Aquitaine24 — right! There’s a live otter cam at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and it’s just FUN to watch!

I’ve never encountered a sea otter. I’m not sure if it would frighten me or not. It sounds like a real prankster.

There was something "tongue in cheek" about the story. I suppose it would frighten me if it bit my boat. I don't surf.

I am sure there is a bit of humor in the article. I have seen a photo, she is so cute. We invade their territory, this is their revenge.

Revenge of the critters. I want to name my own band "Angry Squirrels," but so far I'm the only band member.

The story makes me smile thinking what's the otter going to do with a surf board.

Well, it can relax on the board as long as it doesn’t let the board go out of sight.

@Aquitaine24 It might be coming close to the board to rest and then swims away with it.

Just another case of STUPID human tricks, it's highly likely the second otter was the mother seeking to protect her young. I'll never understand why people have to intrude on sensitive wild ecosystems.

I have seen them in pictures and they do look darn cute. I would not expect such behaviour from such cute creatures. The story made them look like pranksters for these surfers. . If they behave like that with me, I would be really scared.

Maybe they also want to surf and have fun. Or just put a small surf board on the big one and let them have the small one just in case.

That's amazing that the sea otter is attacking surfers. It's nearly as bizarre as the orcas attacking boats.
