My first cousin Mary Lynn in Richmond VA passed away today.
She was in a nursing home for many years with Alzheimers. We're the same age...we were close when we were young, but grownup life can interrupt relationships.
She had amazing younger sisters. They took such good care of her at the nursing home, even after she no longer knew them.
The last time Dale and I went to see her...goodness, close to a year ago now before I got sick...she didn't seem to know us, but right as we were leaving, she said Vicki.
Don't know any arrangements yet, but I'm sure it won't hurt me to miss one radiation treatment this week so we can go to the funeral.
Mary Lynn was so pretty and friendly and funny...and was the cool girl I always wanted to be.
I'll miss her.

I´m so very sorry! Do try to arrange the time of your treatment. There´s nothing you can do there and she would have wanted you to take care of yourself. Beautiful picture

@JudyEv It really meant a lot. The whole visit, she barely looked at anyone and just mumbled. Then right as we were leaving, she said Vicki.

I believe there was still a small part of her that knew how much she was loved. Her siblings took such good care of her for so many years.

So sorry for your loss. I understand. My grandmother had Alzheimer's. I prayed and prayed for God to heal her. Then He revealed to me that He did. He gave her perfect healing. And, although, we miss her terribly, she is in the perfect place, completely healed, and singing "How Great Thou Art" in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
