Too old for the heat

I think I hate everything anymore. It is a little cooler today.

Same with me.

I can't stand the heat, I just layer my clothes in the colder weather.

That is a lot. Summer of 1980 we had 41 days in a row of temperatures over 100. That year I planted cucumbers in August and was able to make pickles in September.

Since June 16 we've had 1 day when it only got up to 99f. I do see a plus side to the heat though, none of the usual weeds are growing.

Oshy how do you manage, walking to all your appointments? I am not close enough to walk to anything. Next week will be hotter and it will be very full of back to school things. Please be careful and take care of yourself.

Are you managing to keep cool now?

I know I complain too much.

That does sound good. The first time I visited Michigan we went to the upper peninsula. I had to buy a flannel night gown at the Ben Franklin store, and it was the Fourth of July weekend. You have some pleasant weather.

@GardenGerty Years back, Mom bought my sister and I matching winter jackets. There was fur around the hood, I loved it! I begged her to let me wear it to the Fourth of July Fireworks in Tawas. Standing beside Lake Huron I actually felt comfortable, it was pretty cold:)

The way I understand it your country is hotter than where I am and you also have a lot more humidity. I should not complain.

@GardenGerty ohh I see. well idk if you are right because the weather here when its summer are just mild. but yea idk the weather there so yea Idk either but yea. maybe it is just if you get used to it. also idk if this work on other people there. but here most filipino's when it is hot like summer we drink something hot also like. coffee, milk, noodles, soup. anything that is hot. idk the logic of it but they say. If you drink hot in hot weather you sweat a lot and that sweat that got out of your body will make your body cool cuz the sweat is the one that make your body hot. that is why when we have fever we need to release the sweat to also release the fever.

I make an effort to complain less. I complained less about winter this year, but mostly it was not very bad, anyway.

@GardenGerty I think you should be able to complain about the weather all you want; you've earned it.

We would have an awful empty myLot, for sure. Just posts about food, then.

Thisyear we have not had enough rain. I imagine this winter will be different, though.

I am pretty sure you are right. And you and I sometimes have matching weather, even so far apart.

That is so very true.

I definitely am staying cool. Since I work in the winter my days seem to fly by. Even when it is gloomy and dark.
