It has been a while.

It has been almost five years since I last logged in to MyLot. To their eternal credit they didn't delete my account or the tiny amount of money I had built up. A lot has changed in the last few years, not just for me but for everyone on the planet. I have no doubt I've missed a great deal here on MyLot, but I suspect I'm not the only one who would like to have skipped over the past few years in reality and not just on line. Due to health reasons I had given up one of my main hobbies right before the lockdown started and found I didn't miss it - good thing as everyone had to give up for around 18 months anyway. Looks like I was ahead of everyone becoming a bit of a hermit! I did a lot more gardening and took up playing Animal Crossing, both of which I'm still doing when I'm not dragged away from the house and garden. I'm back, MyLot. Hello again to you all.

Many long time members have disappeared from the site recently, some I suppose just needed a break and some just got fed up, I keep hoping all will return eventually. Sadly some have passed on.

I still sometimes think about the old members I knew in the previous incarnation of mylot - pre-bubblews, etc.

I signed up here before Bubblews but I didn't do much here until Bubblews bit the dust.

Welcome back! I hope you'll be able to stick around this time. I don't think we interacted before. It's nice to meet you here.

I think hermit is my natural state. Some churches still have religious hermits - sort of solitary nuns/monks.
