Late Night Notes & Dragon Design

Hey everyone, how are you doing? Well hopefully. It's actually a little after 1 AM here, so it is a new day. Last I shared about the plans for the day and that we were going to take my son to try and get a free hair cut. That went well, and we were able to get him a free haircut - I will share a before and after photo later, just haven't been able to put them together yet. The event went well too - we got free nachos, Eli got free popcorn, free cookies and a few school supplies. We should have waited to buy him some of the items he needed, they came in the bag they gave! lol. We'll save them for next year, no worries. The rest of the evening was laid back. We did get some bad news though - a family friend's husband passed away. He used to be a surgeon here. After retiring from that, him and his wife opened up a BBQ restaurant. It's just such a shock to hear the news, but I guess he had a heart attack and didn't make it. Not sure where to leave the discussion after that note. So, I will leave you all with a new dragon design I did. I like these more cute style dragons. What do you think?

I am sorry to hear about the husband of your family friend. I don’t even know what you do for the poor lady. It’s bad enough when it’s expected, but I’ve always thought it had to be worse to lose someone suddenly. You don’t get time to adjust to the thought of the loss; the person is just suddenly gone. It’s great that you guys got so many freebies today! Free food is a plus, but that free haircut is probably the biggest bonus. I’m sure the barbers/hair stylists had their work cut out for them with so many customers! The picture is quite adorable, and I can already picture a line of baby dragons ready for their own animated sitcom.

Thank you, me too....it's just such a shocker. I guess he did have some health problems, but he wasn't that old either. Yeah, when it's not expected....that would be so hard. Either way it is, but still... Free food is always great, for sure! But yes haircuts can be expensive...so that was very nice of them to do this. I think they probably had close to 50 haircuts done in the first hour, it's good that they had 14 stylists cutting hair. Glad you like the dragon, as always! If I could make more of these in order to do that, that would be awesome...but for me they are usually a one time design because I couldn't make the same character over and over lol
