How long do you use a smartphone before replacing it?

some people replace their smartphones yearly, others wait for 2-3 years to do so. The truth is that most smartphones pack up entirely within 3 years and one will be forced to keep repairing them or simply buy a new one. Gone are the days when smartphones are built to last for 5 or more years, today, cheaper materials are used in making these items making them not to last long.

The smartphone I had before this one was perfectly fine, and had been for seven years. Then, my phone company said their new equipment wouldn’t support that phone anymore so I had to get a newer one. It was a shame because it still worked just fine.

I used it as long as it is reasonable for me not to replace it

This is what a lady I know said, they're not built to last!! I just bought a new phone. My last phone held up for 3 years , pretty good considering it went through torture. It was dropped over heated , dropped in water and more. I like this new phone. The battery lasts a long time.
