It all depends on what you're looking for. Cats can be very therapeutic companions, but require a certain amount of... patence. Cats require that you live by THEIR rules for the most part, rather than the other way around. Depending on the type of cat you get most cats don't like to sit on their owners laps even, I was fortunate enough to get a pure breed short-haired cat that loved to sit on my lap 24/7. Dogs, on the other hand, are very loyal. To the point where if you yell they'll feel that they've done something wrong. But if you're looking for an animal that will always try to please you and share your emotions, a dog is perfect. Obviously there are more pros and cons of each, but it really depends on what you're looking for.

hey..nicest response! actually i prefer the dogs, but do they harmless for kids? the other day i saw my sister's dog scratched out the skin of her baby boy's face, not much but looked so terrible. then she dropped the dog out right away.

Well it depends on what your needs are cats are independent and like to keep to themselves where as dogs want your attention, also cats go in litter boxs in your home thsat you must change frequently and dogs go outside and you havw to clean up out there also cats are hombodies and dogs need exercise!!!!

i like dogs, they're more playful, and cuter, cats all look the same, and lazy and want more attention! i love dogs especially the toy breeds!
