Family dog saves a boy from being mauled by a bear

There is a saying that "Dogs are the best friend of man" since a male Golden Labrador Retriever who is eight years male dog named Jake who chased away a bear who was near a four year old boy named Gavin Grant who lives with his relatives in Sherman Connecticut on Saturday at their home.
Gregory Grant who is the father of Gavin who did record the incident which was covered by the media in Connecticut reward Jake by giving him a bath as well as getting treats and ice cream.
The bear ran away from the Grant home without being harmed or harming the child in the incident.
