@LadyDuck That's great. I love cantaloupe drink. What I do is scrape the meat of the fruit then mix with sugar or honey, water and ice cubes. They make s good and refreshing drink.

Same here, especially with this warm weather that we have. Thank goodness that we moved to a state that has an H Mart and lots of Asian stores so I can get the stuff that I need for my fruit salad. If possible, I want to put buko (coconut), melon, pineapple, banana, grapes, nata, sago and gulaman. If I am lucky, I will also want some pandan to make it even tastier.

@florelway Yes, I love halo-halo especially with ube and leche flan. I am a Filipino, but now a US citizen. I was born and grew up there.

@Raine38 Oh I see. I wonder why you're familiar with those ingredients. I am glad you still have the liking for foods you grew up with. You should have also missed santol,durian, lanzones, mangosteen, rambutan. They're in season now.

Looks like you are familiar with some Filipino ingredients like nata, gulaman and pandan. Are you familiar with halo halo? it's a refreshing snack food made from several ingredients with leche plan and ice cream as toppings.

Yes, just right for my craving. I did have it after dinner. Just take few sticks and more plain water to drain the salt.

My son ate his dinner and then sometimes he wants some dessert. There were a few cookies and some ice cream, but he said, are the plums all gone (yes, they were, he ate 2 of them yesterday)...then he wanted berries, which we didn't have. However, I had a huge bag of wild Maine blueberries and he had a dish of those, he loved them. I was just glad to see him eat more fresh fruit. It does taste really good when it's hot outside.
