A Calendar For Our Activities

And so it begins. I haven't even formally started my new job, but I already have 2 out of state business trips this month and next month. So far. I have to be with our clients on these trips, and honestly, I am looking forward to it. Tomorrow, my husband is also going back to work after a vacation/move. He still works for the same company for decades, but he's on a different territory, if you will. And looks like we'll have different rest days and schedules. This is not new to us. We always end up with conflicting schedules and work commitments, so whenever we want to travel or take vacations, we coordinate and plan everything ahead. It's just that this time might be a bit trickier. He suggested getting a desk calendar or something big enough to hang in our office with all our schedules. Something that shows that I will be in KS this week, or he will be in Chicago next month from this day to this day. With the holidays almost upon us, we also need to have an idea of each other's schedule so we can avoid accepting invites that we might end up cancelling due to work stuff. So, I went on Amazon (as per usual) and found this large desk 2023-2024 calendar. Hopefully it helps us be more organized and saner. Previously, we ended up accepting different invitations, double-booking it with family and friends, because we thought we know one another's schedule.

My husband has to write important dates down, too. He used to write his work schedule, but now that he's retired he writes doctor's appointments and staycations.

My husband relies on his phone calendar. I prefer to write things down. I don't know, I guess I am more old-fashioned and traditional than him.

@Raine38 The roles are reversed in my household. To be fair, I don't need a calendar much. And, I can't read print. So my phone is my next best option.

@kaylachan Yes, I guess we're reversed! Although I am younger, my husband is more techie than me. I'm one of those who always end up with an empty cellphone battery because I am too lazy to charge it.

I just hope you both use it and find it helpful. Otherwise, I just bought a big scratch paper. At least it's only $10.00, but still...

Me too. If not, then I'll ask him to take it to his workplace and see if any personnel there would like to have it. Just so it's not totally wasted. But we'll give it a try.

I have a wall calendar, we receive it every year from our Mayor, as the important events of our place are mentioned on the calendar.

We have a big wall calendar here from the supermarket we always go to for grocery shopping. They give away calendars for Christmas/New Year

We used to have one, but ours got lost during the move. I am not sure if the supermarkets here will provide one this coming year, but we'll check if we can avail of one.

That's a good idea to have a calendar to remind you of your schedules. I also have beside me a calendar for my class schedules and others.

That has to get confusing with you both having such busy schedules.
