I had a dream

Actually, it was more of a nightmare. In the fall of 1971 I went to a 'Junior' college, or 'Community' college that was brand new, only open a few years. The name was Central Texas College or, CTC. It was in the middle of nowhere back then. Across the 'highway' from the college was Fort Hood, a large Army base. I have no clue who or what owned the fields on the other side, there wasn't anything there but lots of grass. There was honestly not much to do after classes and no point in staying there on the weekend because if you didn't have a car (which I fortunately did) because there wasn't anything to do if you didn't drive into Killeen. Now, I was 17 when the semester started and 18 when the year was over and I got the he...ck out of there. So, this is to say, if you didn't have a TV, and I did not, you either watched what the soup opera obsessed gals wanted to watch in the lobby (mostly sitcoms which I hate) or studied, which is only so much I'm inclined to do. I was bored. So, one night I had this dream... nightmare. I dreamed I died and went to hell and it was CTC. The picture I have included is of the tower they had out on the highway. It is a charm I have on my charm bracelet. Did I get it because I liked the place? No, I got it because I have included all the events I had in my life between 1969 and... I don't know... sometime, probably before 1980. For whatever reason, the picture isn't posting, sorry. Including this place, which was seriously the most boring place I've ever been. I swear, my idea of H*ll is that it is boring. Have you ever been that bored? What is your idea of H*ll?

Boring is a sort of hell I can agree El. But the other hell is dealing with blundering idiots which I do a lot.

I only really get bored if I don't have books to read... I guess not having books would be hell for me.

Yeah, this place was so new even the library, when it was open, sucked.

@ElicBxn I live in a really small city. While I still bought physical books, I used to donate the ones I didn't like very well to the library when I'd finished them. Several times the librarians told me I donated more books than the city bought that year.

@DaddyEvil I believe it. A small city probably doesn't alot a lot of money for necessary, but not AS necessary a thing as a library. I've given quite a few books to the Free Little Library in my area.

I think sitting in the hot desert with the sun boiling down and not a tree or lake in sight. That would be hell for me.

That would be bad, but night comes eventually. But if that is your Hell, then it probably would never end. Like the boredom of my dream.
