Searching for a New Place

Hello, hello. I hope everything is good with you. I had just finished my lunch (adobong manok). I am currently sitting in front of my computer, searching for an apartment or condominium in Metro Manila. I intend to return there because I am frequently alone in the province. Furthermore, the landlord has stated that the rent would be increased. I do not believe it is fair to raise the rent because the room is small, and I purchase my own drinking water (which other tenants do not) because I do not want to be a burden to others. The outside of the apartment gets flooded, too. But, let’s see. I still have a few more months to decide. How are you doing today?

Moving to a new place is a lot of work. I hope that you find a better place in your budget and all is sorted out soon. Good that you have some time to hunt and go for a good place.

@freelancermariagrace I am doing good. Despite all the professional help that we get from Movers and Packers, we still have a lot to do to settle down in a new place. Yes, they do ease our work to a great extent.

Yes, my lovely friend. I'll hire a moving company to help me move all of my things. Haha. I'm going to start saving for it now because it's going to be expensive. Thank you very much! Anyway, what are your plans for today?

Not really, but my partner is away most of the time because of work.

Where you live does not seem an ideal solution, I hope you can find a better place in Manila.

@freelancermariagrace I wish you good luck. I would also be scared by typhoons.

It really is not, Anna. I get anxious whenever there is a typhoon here in the northern part of the PH. And yes, I hope I can find a better place in Manila that is perfect for my budget and needs. :)

I hope things work out. Finding a new place is not easy. Finding your price, location, etc etc.

Yes, it is not, Danna. I still can't find one that meets my budget. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day/night to you :)

I hope you find a better place to stay. We've recently moved to a mid-rise condo here in Pasig. It's been great so far except for the occasional smog and haze. Good thing our place is littered with huge trees. We're here for work and school. We stay at our house in the province on weekends.

Thank you, Macy. My partner lives in Pasig, but we are currently staying in the province because of work. I like to live in the South - either Pque or LP. And that is nice that you live in a community surrounded by trees. :)

It's been a while since I made adobo. Now you're making me hungry! If the rent is comparable to the ones you'll find in Manila, or even better, then I say it's worth the move. But what about your work, or family?

Sunday my great-aunt and great-uncle helped move the old washing machine out and put my mother's washing machine in. My mother had kept her washing machine from her apartment in another town.

Glad to know they helped you out move your washing machine. I do not have one in my apartment. I hand-wash my clothes

Rents are going up here all the time too. I hope you find somewhere suitable.

Yes, I believe it is common. I just don't like the idea that they would raise the rent despite the fact that their area is prone to flooding during typhoons. It is a major inconvenience for their tenants.

@freelancermariagrace It would be a terrible inconvenience to be flooded, that's for sure.
